My whip(s) & I
My name is Isabela. I am originally from Massachusetts but now live in Atlanta, GA. I grew up going to car shows with my dad and his Dodge Challenger and watched Initial D. I grew up with rabbits as pets, but now have two cats and two dogs. I've found my passion in the automotive, pet, and sports world and work to capture your passion in those same categories whether it's by photography, videography, drawing, or interviews!
When I got back from my Army deployment, I knew it was time for my own car journey and bought my 2018 Toyota GT86 (automatic, sorry)! The goal is a show/track build that I can use to show others the process, good and bad. I’ve always loved cars but knew nothing about them, so I’m learning everything as I go!
I also married into a lifted 2015 Silverado LT, my alter ego. A quick look into the Big Red Dawg’s specs: 9″ Superlift Suspension Lift, McGaughys Struts, 3″ Body Lift from Tire City, 24×14 Savage Offroad Wheels, and 37×13.50 Tires. Unfortunately due to quite high rollover risk, there is no way I’d be allowed to take the truck to autocross. Tragic, I know.
Photography & Videography
(Automotive, sports, pets, people)
My first camera, a CanonT6i, was from an autocross friend! He was always taking pictures of our cars between runs and gave me great advice since he drives a BRZ. I always loved receiving photos of my car and wanted to do the same for others!
I expanded to pet photography, using my own four pets as subjects and then getting more practice by offering complimentary photos to the pets who board with me! My husband plays a million sports and so naturally I dove into sports photography as well. While in Atlanta I got the mirrorless "gimmies" and endlessly searched Facebook Marketplace, as one does, and found a Sony A7IV at a very good price!
Since this camera is also well known for great videography, I invested in more videography based equipment so I can start offering videography content to clients as well. Drawings (automotive, pets)
In college, I did lots of painting and digital drawing, especially during Covid. Since being out of the Army, I've started up again and have been really enjoying it. I love the experience of being able to draw all sorts of cars, pets, bikes, trucks especially when I get to see them in person too!
To request a digital drawing, send 1-5 reference photos to slowunsteady86@gmail.com. Include any special requests like the background color/scene, different wheels, no collar, etc.
Interviews (cars, track experience)
My interviews started in El Paso, TX focused on why they chose that model, favorite modifications, future plans with the car, etc.
Now in Atlanta, I am looking to continue my series and expand! If you have track experience - whether its rally, drift, autocross, time trials, anything - I want to interview you!! You don't have to be a professional, I am looking for all experience levels, you can even just have participated a couple of times!
